Carolin coaches women online: “Amazing to see how they find their strength”

After 15 years in the service industry, Carolin, 38, has found a new path in life. Today, she coaches women over 35 with a clear purpose: to help them find strength within themselves.
For Carolin, service has been a common thread throughout her career. She started as a waitress and worked her way up to restaurant manager and customer relations manager – but during parental leave with her second son, she discovered strength training.
I have never been a typical fitness enthusiast, preferring to focus on work, travel, and family. I tried strength training and loved it, so I began reading up on it and learning more.
Fell for the evidence-based approach
A friend suggested that she train to become a personal trainer, as she had learned so much and was also good at teaching – and Carolin fell for EBT Academy.
– I was attracted by their evidence-based approach. I started chatting with them and got a really good feeling, so I signed up for the Flex Distans programme. The approach suited my life situation and my parallel studies in business development in the hospitality industry.
“A stable foundation”
She describes the programme as serious and secure – a stable and clear foundation to stand on and learn from.
Everything I do today is based on evidence-based knowledge – I would never want to teach something that has no scientific basis, and I myself would not want to be taught something that feels like hocus-pocus. In addition, the atmosphere during the training was warm and personal, and the physical meetings were both educational and fun. It really felt like a perfect match.
Help finding long-term strength
After completing her training, Carolin began holding strength training classes for women at her gym. The classes quickly filled up and have helped many women stop yo-yo dieting and instead build long-term strength. She says it’s fantastic to see how the participants grow and find their strength.
During my training, I tested a nutrition counselling app and started coaching some friends online – the response was fantastic. Today, I run my own business and coach women over 35 who want to start strength training at the gym. By sharing pictures of their food, among other things, I give them dietary advice with the aim of helping them become independent in their health, she says.
Took the plunge
In May, she left her job in the hotel industry to focus fully on online coaching.
“I had wanted to take this step for a long time and knew that this was what I wanted to do. My passion is to change women’s lives for the better, and I will continue to do so,” she concludes.
